They do have a lot in common, but there are important differences. Public views are based upon Graphical Views, which have built-in components and drag-and-drop build functionality. This can be good for a lot of things, but with convenience comes constraints. Custom Views are much more flexible, but require that you write your own HTML, and knowing a bit of Javascript doesn't hurt.

its ok.... the issue was me... mango was not allowing duplicate tags, so deleted old data sources, and re imported into the new single data source... woo!

Please note that pre-releases should be used with care. They are not guaranteed to be able to upgrade to future releases, and so only should be used with test installations.

It looks like your Mango version is not compatible with the Modbus4J version you have. Did you update one and not the other?

When Mango can not interpret the message retry the query. In any of the answers, Mango able to interpret the message and takes it as valid. The problem is that ALL answers are the same but the system fails despite that.

I figured it out. Mango does the conversion. Thanks for your help! I've got it all setup now and working great. For anyone else who's needing help, these are my settings. Then followed the steps in the manual[6-38] For Dynamic Velocity First, setup a pulse profile in ctrio workbench Use the following offsets/range/data type: Command Code - 0/Holding Register/2byte BCD Parameter 1 (File #) - 1/Holding Register/2byte BCD Process Command - 71/Coil Status/binary Command Complete Status - 71/Input Status/Binary Command Error - 70/Input Status/Binary Enable Output - 64/Coil Status/Binary Parameter 3 (Target Velocity) - 12/Holding Register/4byte Signed Interger Swapped Suspend Output - 66/Coil Status/Binary

I've installed the Mango application on a full windows XP configurat(ion Now I can read the OPC item but after few minutes (15 to 20 mn) the system seems to "stop". No error log but the item values are not refreshed ... Is this problem allready appeared for someone ? Do you think that I should test a MySQL storage ? Thanks for help

i think it would be nice to have groups within a data source. my list is massive, an copying groups would be good

Yeah, that was one of the several reasons it was created.

Any issues around this should be fixed in 1.12.0. Please let me know if you see otherwise.
