Mango also uses port 8080 by default so there is a conflict with tomcat. You can either shut down tomcat or change Mango to run on a different port in the env.properties file:https://help.infiniteautomation.com/support/solutions/articles/14000020052-installation-configuration

To override the env.properties file place it in overrides/properties

You shouldn't have to redo anything. Deleting the NoSql module from your web/modules directory and restarting should be sufficient to use H2 for your pointValues again

The service is now running.

I'll now sort out the service starting on any reboot of the server and I will check the log if the system stops working.

No problem! I wasn't sure why JAVA_HOME wasn't in the environment, but I sourced the environment from the service and exported JAVA_HOME, problem solved.

Added the lines...
. /etc/environment
export JAVA_HOME

to your Mango service file

This issue was due to the zip file not being unzipped correctly. The Mango core files were unzipped into a folder MA_HOME/m2m2-core-2.7.2/ rather than directly into the MA_HOME folder where they would have overwritten the older core files and restored the /lib folder. Thanks.

This should work fine but I'm not an expert on clusters. We have done some experimenting with LXC Containers and that should work really well. If you are using the enterprise version of Mango it's really simple as the databases are embedded so it's really simple to install and maintain on any kind of platform.

It depends on your system hardware but it's usually if it get's into the millions of records that you would see problems in the Mango UI. If it's in the 10-50K range you'll have no problems. Just remember there is a big difference to "None" and "Do Not Log" Alarm levels. None alarm levels will still be logged. You have fine grain control over how you purge your events on the system setting page as well which helps get rid of the un needed events.

Let us know if this helps resolve your issue. My guess is you don't have your JAVA_HOME set correctly. If you still have issues please post the full out put of the terminal when starting up.

finaly i got al the historic values in seprate csv file's
I found out that there is some kind of limit to import in one file.
The original amount of line's for the outside temperature in the excel file was 91000, i dived the file per year and that worked fine.

Finaly it worked.
i copied RXTXcomm.jar and rxtxSerial.dll and librxtxSerial.so to the java folder.
I dindt know where to put it so i copied it to all lib foles i could find.
a reboot of the system and it worked.

After that i startet up my old mango v1.12 and made an export of the configuration, did an import and all datapoints are in the new mango v2.5.
The onlything that didn't worked at once was the data source for the onewire device's.
I configured the datasource with the same name and did the import again, that did the trick.

now i have to find a way to get my historical data in v2.5 and get my graphical views imported.

the cheapest i could find on ebay was 75.00 and the quality i could not verify.

In my experience you don't need to install a license at all to use the free version.

I am not a developer so I'm only guessing, but the message doesn't sound like its related to the license.
It sounds more like you have left something incomplete. You should make sure that your modules and core are up to date.

There is a SQL grammer error in Line 18 of the "createTables-MYSQL.sql" file, which is in the "m2m2-reports-2.0.7.zip" module.
There is a dot character where there should be a comma in SQL.

Mango is just a Java application, so the actual 'install' of Mango consists simply extracting files from a .zip file into a directory of your choosing. That's it!
What you are probably asking for is a step by step guide to installing Ubuntu and the Java JVM, which are both products NOT made by serotonin software, which is why you won't find an install guide! :-)
Otherwise Serotonin would have to make a million guides for every different possible system configuration that anyone might want.

I would suggest that if you need a step by step guide, try searching for these things:

Mango Automation 2.4.2 is the latest version and it doesn't run under tomcat. It has it's own Jetty server built in so you need to run it on a separate port than tomcat. I suppose you could run it under tomcat but you need to do quite a bit of work to make that happen. In the /classes/env.properties file in the port settings. You start it with one of the ma-start scripts in the home folder.
