Your instance cannot be upgraded due to a versioning problem
-
I have been away for a couple weeks, but I'm looking forward to using the new auto-login features of the dashboards.
When I try to upgrade, I get this error:
"Your instance cannot be upgraded due to a versioning problem: Module dashboards 3.6.1 is not compatible with core 3.2.0"
We're running on an ubuntu server:
core 3.1.1+20170620163725 (Build number: 20170620163725) - Enterprise
dashboards 3.6.1 - unrestricted -
Yes, you will need to uninstall the dashboards module. It has been replaced by the UI module and is not supported in version 3.2.
-
Is this this UI module: "mangoUI 3.1.7 - unrestricted" ?
-
Yes, mangoUI is the module name in the list of modules and in the store.
-
Apart from uninstalling the module dashboards, should I also uninstall dashboardDesigner or leave that?
-
Dashboard Designer is definitely still supported, and will remain supported.
-
Issue has been resolved, thanks you two.

If you just did the update there is a chance the brewersdashboard module got installed. If it did you may wish to remove it. I'm correcting that now.
-
Ah yes I did notice that. I have it set for removal for next reboot.
I assume it won't cause me any issues at the moment?
-
I was concerned that it would give you an 8 hour shutdown.
-
Gotcha. I've removed brewersDashboard from all our instances.
-
By the way, after removing the old dashboards, and doing the upgrade, I just got a new dashboards module:
dashboards 3.7.0-SNAPSHOT - unrestricted
Is this okay?
-
You shouldn't, but it won't hurt anything. That was also in the bundle file you got that had the brewersdashboard. You can't get 3.7 from the store (and maybe never will be able to). I'm not sure it's really any different than 3.6
