Trend line max point value limit

Will I need to have the same points on different update rates to avoid this issue with trend lines? So have a slower update rate point for the trends and then the same point on a quicker update rate for the displayed value?
Or are there other ways around it in the watch list configuration?
Right now, these points are reading from a device with 10 second update rate and I cannot see past 1 week.

The problem may not be clear from the picture. It has a points values limited to 5001 values, please reduce time range or adjust the rollup interval. message at the bottom and the data flat lines.

I just set it to 10x and it worked. any repercussions on limit that high?

If you set it too high you'll be more likely to crash a browser.
