• Bug? Point Change detector, alias and email event handler

Hi All, I don't know if this is a bug or a normal behavior, if I set the "alias" field in a point change detector (with alarm information level), the email that came out from an email event handler doesn't contain any details about the change. to be more clear: (in thi example "ConfigurationChange" is my alias to a change detector of a point named "Configuration") If I set the alias field the email body will contain: [alarm info flag] - [alarm timestamp] - ConfigurationChange If I don't set anything in the alias field, the email body is more verbose: [alarm info flag] - [alarm timestamp] - Configuration has changed from XXX to YYY is that normal? Regards. Fabrizio

True, but "dp.getPointLocator().getDataTypeId()" to be specific. Thanks Arne.

Hi! I've added a new user, after that I've added some data sources. When I try to give that user access to the new data sources (in the "Users" page) I've got an error message: PreparedStatementCallback; SQL [update users set username=?, password=?, email=?, phone=?, admin=?, disabled=?, homeUrl=?, receiveAlarmEmails=?, receiveOwnAuditEvents=? where id=?]; An attempt was made to get a data value of type 'VARCHAR' from a data value of type 'null'.; nested exception is java.sql.SQLDataException: An attempt was made to get a data value of type 'VARCHAR' from a data value of type 'null'. The same message I've seen trying to change user password.

Not sure what you mean. You can already copy a data source. Could you just do that and delete the slaves you don't need?

In general you should avoid using HTML markup in the translation files. Yes, there are cases where this is already done, but (AFAIK) only when the messages are only used in an HTML context. There are cases where messages are used elsewhere (like in email content) where the markup is not resolved. The "perNewton" has been fixed, thanks. The "degree Kelvin", though, is lifted (like the rest of the eng units) directly from the BACnet spec. It honestly doesn't matter to me which is used. But, still, there is at least an obvious difference of opinion. If others want K, it will be made K.

In case you want to test, this is the new 404.jsp content: <%@ include file="/WEB-INF/jsp/include/tech.jsp" %> <br/&gt <span class="bigTitle">Page Not Found!</span><br/&gt <br/&gt The page that you requested was not found. Please check your URL and try your request again, or start again from the <a href="${pageContext.request.contextPath}/login.htm">login page.<br/&gt <br/&gt <br/&gt

The first issue with IE is a known thing, but is considered a nice-to-fix and so ends up low priority. The exporting of watchlists would be nice as well. As usual, funding would go a long way toward pushing it up the schedule.

I finally got around to loading the newest version of Mango (1.8.2 I think). I enabled the option to discard what I consider bad data for the DS18B20 and this works just fine for me. No more flaky charts when i restart my 1-wire network! Thanks a bunch! For my latest version of my public page see: http://mikeshouse.homedns.org/

Yes, the "add" option should not be displayed for non-admin. But the problem with copying (which non-admins can do) is that the user's (cached) permissions were not being refreshed after the copy, so the edit failed. In any case, both issues have been fixed for next release. Thanks for the report.

When you finally have to login you're using a hidden field and that's good. Any way, not having a hidden field when creating the account is a problem: some one can see over your shoulder and remeber your password. Is a security risk.

Please note that Serotonin has limited resources for completely testing various browser and platform combinations. The only browser that we can "officially support" is Firefox, which is what is nearly exclusively used for Mango development. Let's say that other browsers like Safari are "unofficially supported", meaning that we are happy to hear reports of ways in which they do not work, but cannot guarantee that any such problems will be fixed promptly, if at all.

Browser requirements for the next version have been substantially relaxed. Sadly, i can't test the 1-wire problem with Chrome at the moment. Can anyone else reproduce this?
