    • SNMP newbie help

I have a hardware I/O device that comunicates via SNMP and am having trouble setting up an SNMP data source for this device.

I would assume the 'Host' properties box is the IP address of the device?

What should I have in the 'Export ID (XID)' proberties box?
      The 'comunity' properties box?
And the 'Local address' box ?

I try the SNMP testing box for known OID's but it comes back 'host not found'.
The basic interface OID is .1.3.6.1.2.1.2 and for one of the single contact inputs the OID is .1.3.6.1.4.1.539.8.12.3.1.2.1.1.1.9
Is the first dot required in the snmp testing box?

This mango server is under XP and version 1.8.2 , JDK 6.18

Do I need to do anything else to enable snmp on this mango sever?

I can walk the MIB / OID's from various other software packages without a problem on a different PC to mago server though.

      Thanks Zap.

    • Login Nag

I am useing Mango 1.8.1 on a windoze machine and I have a problem with the login page.

if I'm useing Firefox I get the folowing.

      Firefox 3.6 on Windows
This browser is supported. Your browser may work with this product, but is not officially supported by Serotonin Software. We instead recommend the use of Firefox, Chrome, or Internet Explorer 7.

and then each time I click in the User ID or Password box I get the pop up warning
      *The page at http://localhost:8080 says:
NOTE: you may have problems with Mango because your browser is not officially supported. Please upgrade your browser. *

The only way to enter the login and password is use the tab to them.

I also have this same problem with Chrome but instead of saying it is supported it says it 'may work' with the same popup nag.

      *Chrome 4.1 on Windows

I have also discovered another problem with Chrome. I have set up a 1 wire data source and scanned and retrieved the devices sucessfully but if then try to add a data point I get a popup box saying Cannot read property 'startindex' of null . This only happen in Chrome as I can add points in Firefox 3.6 and Opera 9.8. Once the points have been added in these they are then veiwable in Chrome .

Also none of these browsers are set as the default if that has anything to do with it.

      Thanks Zap.
