Hi I am having the same issue where mango seems to run on Derby but not mysql. We have a similar configuration on another machine that works, and comparing apples to apples, it all looks the same. This is the error I get: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/comms/httpclient/Credentials at com.serotonin.m2m2.Main.main(Main.java:63) any clues? the db user created to access mysql has the GRANT ALL privileges so no access restrictions. Thanks!

I'm not having luck installing Mango on a Mac OSX 10.5.8 with Java 1.6.0. File name was changed from "ma-start.sh" to "ma-start.command". Line 15 was changed from "ma-start.sh" to "ma-start.command". "chmod +x ma-start.command" was executed via terminal to gain access to the file. The following was returned in the terminal window upon execution of "ma-start.command": Applications/Mango/ma-start.command ; exit; Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:676) at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:124) at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:260) at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$100(URLClassLoader.java:56) at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:195) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:188) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:317) at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:280) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:252) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:375) logout [Process completed] Jake

From a quick look I'd say probably not. I don't think OpenWRT supports a JAVA JDK. I also couldn't see the system specs buy my ques is it is way under powered for Mango. There are other options for small embedded devices but I would recommend a minimum of 512 MB Ram, several gigs of Hard-drive space and the fastest ARM processor your budget can handle. The new release of Mango Automation 2.0.6 has been optimized to run on small embedded computers and there will be more optimizations coming in the future. Joel.

Thanks for the great information. I'm going to have to get around to trying this on my 512 Pi. Right now I have it streaming 1080 video from my NAS with no issues at all using Raspbmc. Some folks with the 256 version have issues streaming so you may be correct with your assessment of memory and performance of Mango. Also as you pointed out, voltage supply to the Pi is critical to good performance. Many people without meters are astonished to see their "5V supply" is running much less, especially under load. I am amazed you are doing all this in an apartment! Good job. I have the Pi case from Sparkfun in the US. It has the opening for the GPIO pins and is a good cheap case. I must be available on your side of the pond. Too many projects and ideas floating around in my head and garage........... Mike

If you want to connect to Mango Automation from an unlimited number of IP addresses then you'll need to purchase a commercial license. To do this, click on the "Update your licenses now" button on the modules page.

Yesterday I downloaded Mango core 2.0.3 from http://infiniteautomation.com/index.php/download.html and from http://m2m2.serotoninsoftware.com/core, after trying to unzip it with winrar, I was asked for password. I downloaded it again this morning, and no password was requested. I'm not sure why this happened. Anyway, problem solved. Thanks :)
