I'm trying to test the encapsulated modbus rtu over tcp by setting up a dummy TCP server that waits for the request and sends back a sample response. I'm currently a bit stuck as I'm getting "error reading registers - no response from device 2".

I've looked at the messages in wireshark and can confirm that the response is being sent.

    The dummy tcp server gives:

    RX: 0x02 0x04 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x02 0x71 0xf8
    TX: 0x02 0x04 0x04 0x46 0xB0 0xFF 0x6D 0x5C 0x36

which looks fine to me for a modbus RTU read.

    Wireshark:

    a8a03717-be7b-4199-819f-9ab6e70a071a-image.png

Request at 4, response at 5.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    UPDATE:
Turns out it was my TCP server, rewrote it from ruby to python and works just fine.

Odd behavior with an event detector. Mango 3.7.7

In bullet points to help explain the timeline:

    • I had an event detector entitled "FTP Failure" set up with an email handler to send to a mailing list.

    • The event was triggered and the event handler ran as normal.

    • A few days later I fixed the issue causing the event to become inactive. I received an event inactive email.

    • I then disabled the data source/point and deleted the event detector.

    • I then received an active event email 24 hours after the previous inactive email. Interestingly, the email only went to me instead of the mailing list. It did however still use the "FTP Failure" name.

All of that is to say that I currently have an active event for a disabled data point which has no event detectors.

Hi all, just wondering if the advice from this post is still relevant:
    https://forum.mango-os.com/topic/19/custom-data-sources?_=1617287025482

The plan is to implement a small custom datasource using websockets as endpoints.

From the documentation, you can use SI unit prefixes but I seem unable to get millibar.
I tried m-bar, mbar, m bar, milli bar, millibar, milli-bar all to no avail.
If I try bar/1000 i get hecto pascals (hPa) instead.

Am I just doing it wrong or is it not possible?

edit: Also when using ppm the output symbol is "/1000000" rather than "ppm" which would be preferable in my opinion

Just installed v4 to test the waters and check for any major changes that we may have to make in the future. Are FTL email templates being axed or have they just not been added to V4 just yet?

Also the new admin home is very nice, I like it a lot!

@elena Hmm, seems to be working fine for me. I'm a bit behind with the mango UI module 3.7.3. What's happening when you try add emails using the new ui?

@craigweb Ah grand, thanks for your help! Also, the mailing list button on the admin home page doesn't seem to be clickable. Perhaps related, perhaps not!
