      Hi

I have a MangoES with core 2.4.2 and persistent module 1.4.7.
It is publishing points which are being pushed to another Mango server (call it 'Master') also running core 2.4.2 and persistent module 1.4.7.

If I upgrade 'Master' to core 2.5.0 and persistent module 1.5.0, (but do not touch the MangoES), will anything break?

      Thanks
      Jeremy

I've not tested compatibility but generally speaking you should always have the same version of everything on both sides of the persistent TCP publisher and data source. In these version I think there is a good chance it will work but the only way to know would be to test. You could do this by spinning up a trail of 2.5.0 and try publishing some points to it from the MangoES. There were some significant changes made in this update with added setting that you should review if you do update.

        Joel.

          Thanks Joel

Can I run the latest persistent module (1.5.0) on core version 1.4.7 (i.e, upgrade the modules on both Mango servers, without upgrading core)?

No you'll need to update the core as well and all the other modules.
