Disabled Emailing of alarms and websocket issue

Hi,
Is it possible to flat out disable the scada's ability to email so that it won't even try? Any alarms on the system will be displayed to an operator and do not need to be emailed so can i disable this feature?Also possibly realated to the email issue, i keep getting errors appearing on the console saying it can't send a message periodically
any ideas how to stop this as when it appears i get tremendous lag on the SCADA?

Hi Billy,
By default, Mango doesn't send emails. You had to have set an
Send alarm emailsvalue on your user or a mailing list below the threshhold for that event. If that setting is set toIgnorethen that user / mailing list will be ignored for that purpose. After that, you would have had to configure an email event handler for Mango to have attempted to send the message. In which case, you could disable that email handler.There is no global toggle to say "don't send any emails ever."
The websocket message is more likely that a client abruptly terminated the websocket without notification and is only logging it, it shouldn't be raising an event or emailing anyone. You can disable the logging of that message by that class by modifying your Mango/overrides/properties/log4j2.xml file (which you can copy there from Mango/classes/ ) by adding this Logger directive below the similar ones (still in the "Loggers" tag) at the bottom of the file:

i have done this and the error is still appearing and causing the page to become unresponsive on the browser and causing lag.

You shouldn't still be seeing the log message with that Log4J configuration. Did you restart Mango or reload the Log4J configuration on the System Settings page (you probably will still need to use the old system settings page, /system_settings.shtm ).
I wonder, are you accessing this instance through a proxy? Are you using HTTPS?

Hi Phil,
I'm accessing the SCADA via chrome i've just noticed i have https anywhere extension enabled so that will be forcing the page to https if it can.
The scada is rebooted very regularly as it's currently running on a laptop. i have now reloaded the configuration from the system setting page and rebooted the scada, and removed the https force, to see if the error still occurs. -

I have uploaded the Log File from the scada if that helps, The scada boots fine then i open the webpage and it works for about 2 mins then the scada freezes and the error appears on the console before the page crashes and i have force shutdown the SCADA

Id suggest there is something amiss on your dashboard page that is causing Chrome to lock up. This would explain the websocket messages in your log file as the Chrome tab/process is being killed after it freezes up. Id start by opening the Chrome console and watching for any log messages.

It Flags up a missing file that when it first loads the scada page up but the only errors in the logs is timeouts that appear at the same time as the error messages

Can you post or send me the content of the custom page you are displaying, I'll take a look and see if there is anything on there which might obviously cause the Chrome tab/process to lock up.

@Bhanner just looked it over and it doesn't look like there's anything wrong with it. Are you using the latest Chrome and the latest Mango and UI module? Does the tab freeze up every time at the same time? Is it reproducible under a certain set of conditions?
[edit] Its possible this is from a bug where the point value component was fetching events from the API too frequently, maybe try purging old events and upgrading your UI/API module.
