V2.6 Quantize

does v2.6 not have a quantize logging option for the interval logging type?

Quantization can only be set on some datasources in their polling configuration. Unless I'm mistaken Mango has never had the ability to Quantize Logging in the data point configuration.

This is a Alternate Method,you can set a datasource's cron string replace interval logging type,you can Define a Quantize cron yourself.

Hi Terry, it is vital for the applications that I am using Mango for that the logging is exactly on the hour. For example for billing purposes this is important. Are you sure this was not a feature for modbus in older versions? Can it be added as a feature?

In 2.6 as will all other versions there is still the option to Quantize the polls for Modbus data sources. I think Modbus is the only data source that has this. Data will still be logged based on when it is received so the actual logged value may still be off by some milliseconds.

Try this out and let us know if it will be sufficient for you.

I have the modbus data source Quantize check box checked, this only has an effect on the data update period. However the logging is not Quantize and there is no check box to enable this when I enable the logging of a point.

What are your logging settings for the data points? Also can you post an csv export of one of the data points. I'm curious to see how far off the logged time stamps are. Is it just a few milliseconds?

I am sure the Quantize checkbox is useful in modbus, my logging type is ON_CHANGE, please test in ON_CHANGE condition
