    • Points don't seem to be in drop down list

I have finally got the PLC side of the facility working and now have just about finished implementing the Mango interface to the PLCs to show operational details. I have about 450 points, Most of them are binary status bits (status lights) that I want to reflect on the mango screen. I can pull the status information from the PLC and can see the data being read via the data source "lego" block hover. My problem that I am having is that only about 150 of my approximate 450 points show up on the drop down list when I try to select one of the points from the XID list for an ma-indicator or numeric data display. Any idea where the rest of the list is at or why it is not showing up.
I have broken down the two PLCs into about 4 data sources each. All my data sources point to only two devices, the two plcs that inferface via Modbus IP I.For instance, I have a data source setup with the one PLC IP address and then the points are for analog data. Another does the same but pulls binary registers and bits/coils. Another pulls registers that buffer the VFD status word. I have searched for a solution but as yet have not found an anwer. I am using the MangoES box with 3.x Mango Firmware, etc. I can also see the data point data in question (missing and not missing on the XID drop down list) in my watch lists.

      Thanks,
      Tracey

    • RE: Extracting bit data from Modbus registers

That being the case, it should allow me to do lots of bit banging very quickly. I need to gather about 60 words of data from each PLC (2 plcs) and then show the numeric or bit field representation. Thank you for the explanation that Mango buffers the data for quicker access between scans.

    • RE: Extracting bit data from Modbus registers

Is there a way to take the word data and put into a virtual data so that mango can act on it "locally/virtualy" in a bit wise fashion without additional data cycles across the bus (modbus) over and over?

That works. I think the only issue with doing this type of data acquisition (vs manipulation using JS) is that the number of bus transactions increases for all the bits desired to observe in that data word.(ie: 16 bus transactions to be able to observe each of the 16 different bits). I understand where to go from here on this. Thank you.

    • Extracting bit data from Modbus registers

I am working with a MangoES Box with Mango 3.x upgrade. I am trying to figure out how to manipulate a 16 bit data word that I get via modbus from a PLC. The issue is that the 16 bits of the data are flag/binary data, not numeric. I need to be able to sort messages to post to the screen based on which bits (one or more at a time) are a "1" or "0".
For example, Bit 12 indicates the device is RUNNING, bit 1 indcates the device is working nomally, others bits indicate alarms or warnings, etc. Are there any examples or information available on this. I have searched for bit mapped data word in the forum and came up empty. I am using both Chrome and Firefox latest version browsers.
      Thanks,
      Tracey

    • RE: Custom Dashboard inageS(s) segment/shape creation and color control...Help!

HELP! I can get to the modules and click the "update my license". Another tab in the browser opens up and asks me to login. I login and get the following message:

"Note: core version 2.0.5 and earlier is incompatible with the licenses that are downloaded here. Please upgrade to core 2.0.6 or higher before replacing your existing license. If this is a new license and there are no license options below, you may need to change the store.url in your env.properties file to https, restart Mango, and try again.

The given instance belongs to another account"

PS: The GUID is the same now as when I sent it earlier yesterday to Phillip.

Where do I find the GUID after the update? Is it printed on the MangoES box or will it be pulled from the box with some software/web browser???

I am working with the new MangoES box that we picked up at the AHR expo in Las Vegas from your booth earlier this year (late January/early Feb...~ 3 months ago). How can I get the license updated once I do the upgrade. What are the cost factors and how to get a new valid license.

Here is my screen shot. I get a message that the license will no longer apply if I do these updates...
