    • DNP3 polling not working with 'non-standard' port settings

Hi. I am having issues with a Mango unit on site that is acting as a DNP3 master. The setup is such that the Mango is a secondary master (to the main SCADA system) and hence needs different port settings to what would be considered standard.
Using the usual port 20,000 works fine (however this needs to be reserved for the SCADA system), but using port 20002 (and some other ports) results in the polling failing after a few minutes. Altering the DNP3 ID of the master and slave doesn't seem to be related. It seems only port 20,000 will work reliably.

It also seems to only apply to a single unit (from 4) that is experiencing the problem, so unlikely to be caused by our PLC.

Is there a default setting somewhere that we can override? Or something we can check in more detail?

    • RE: DNP 3 IP - "Reset Link Failed!" alarm

      Hi Phil,

Thanks for that. I tested some more and it seems related to the port I was using. The Mango is being a second DNP3 master and I used port 20002 (the other Master is using 20001). I'll investigate what ports both masters can use - unfortunately the slave device needs separate ports...

    • DNP 3 IP - "Reset Link Failed!" alarm

Hi - I currently have a MangoES set up with a DNP3 server (using IP). It has been working OK, however recently I get an alarm "Reset Link Failed' alarm, even though it seems to be merrily responding to polling and not reporting any other errors.

I think the alarm is related to the fact that none of my points updating (show old values from months ago and don't respond to fresh values). Can I force a reset of the link?

      Thanks.

    • RE: Excel Reporting Overloading Mango

      Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I ended up rebuilding and it turns out the original Excel template was 2.3MB - the new one was 100kB!

Hence the poor mango trying to parse through 2.3MB of corrrupted Excel. It caught me out as the sites have steadily become bigger (in terms of IO) and just about handled it, so I didn't spot the corrupted file until now.

I've rebuilt the smaller sites and they are running much faster.

      Kind regards,

      Tom

    • Excel Reporting Overloading Mango

      Hi,

I am setting up an Excel Report (around 200 points) to run daily and give the one-minute average for these points.

When I run a test report, the fan on the mango increases in speed and I lose comms between the Web interface and the Mango unit. It also starts to run quite hot.

I've looked at the ma.log for clues, but this is where my expertise shows limitations. When I run the report, it says:

WARN 2018-03-13T00:00:08,235 (com.serotonin.m2m2.util.timeout.TaskRejectionHandler.rejectedTask:75) - Rejected task: NoSQL Point Value Mover because Task Queue Full
ERROR 2018-03-13T00:00:10,513 (com.infiniteautomation.nosql.MangoNoSqlBatchWriteBehindManager$StatusProvider.scheduleTimeout:727) - 1 BWB Task Failures, first is: Task Queue Full

Which is puzzling as I'm only polling about 200 points.

      Thanks,

      Regards,

      Tom

    • RE: Export archive file to csv

@JoelHaggar said in Export archive file to csv:

You can use the Excel reports module to generate an Excel file on a schedule. The files are stored on the local system in /opt/mango/web/modules/excelReports/web/report-data
You could set up a cron job to copy all these files to your location of choice.

We can probably make that work. Just one question - does the Mango have Samba (installed and configured), and therefore set up a shared directory. This way we can 'pull' from Windows?

    • RE: Export archive file to csv

      Hi Joel,

Thanks for your reply. That looks like being a potential solution for us. Is cron able to copy the files to a Windows machine? And does the Excel report allow data / time to be appended to the file name?

    • Export archive file to csv

Hi, is it possible to set up the MangoES to export data as a csv/excel file, ideally on a separate local drive? Ideally this would be a daily or monthly file saved to a specific location, where the site engineer can access it if required.
