Joohan if you are able to see a Com port in Mango=> data sources => Modbus serial properties; it means 99% that mango is working properly .

Are you sure you define correct serial parameters : baudrate,
data bits ... on both side ( RS232 and RS485)
?

For me it 's not possible to use only a cable between RS232 and RS485>>
you need a converter like : http://www.moxa.com/product/Transio_A5253.htm
or others
