Hi
I seem to be missing Icons from the Application tool bar, ie Event detector & refresh.
I've upgraded to 1.10.0 but this has not resolved the issue. So somewhere else i have a problem with a setting.
Any ideas where I should look ?
Also I did a quick check after the upgrade and its still showing version 1:9.0, there was a minor error during the upgrade with a corrupt file (jfreechart- 1.0.11.jar) but as that has not changed since the previous version I don't think it shoud be an issue.
Thanks
Keith

Hi
I think if you want to set this up you need Apache on your webserver and use that to feed off of Tomcat they are designed to work together. I have tried this but failed miserably and went back to just accessing tomcat.

Hi
From experience the best connector is the link45 as it can manage difficult cable configurations (See http://www.maxim-ic.com/app-notes/index.mvp/id/148).
I started with a USB one and it constantly gave trouble. I have found one wire networks to be a law unto themselves, working fine for a week then losing sensors for days without a change being made.
http://www.ibuttonlink.com/link45.aspx
or
http://www.homechip.com/catalog/
or
Hobbyboards http://www.hobby-boards.com/catalog/index.php who are quick and helpful witth all their bits

Hi
I've just found your question. I've got about 30 temp sensors and some switches set up on a 1 wire network. I'm planning to control my complex heating system through it using Mango.
Getting it to be reliable is a right pain. Its very sensitive length and hoe the sensors are added. This article is very helpful

If you want to do some testing to check the system is working either use the dallas software or LOGTEMP by mr soft both free
Here's my public view page http://www.bacwak.net:8080/public_view.htm?viewId=8
Which is a bit scrrewed at the moment as i have been playing with dials and buttons on it

Although I paid for the commercial version i don't mind it being free as long as it keeps getting developed and supported.
Its a great product !!!

Hmmm this is what it says, This Mango version 1.6.0, but I did have issues with the upgrade.
I saved a copy of the root directory at the same level, as "copy of root" then over wrote the root with the new version. When I restarted it used the "copy of" directory to recreate the work directory. I then deleted the work directory again and the "copy of" directory and restarted tomcat.
I guess what you will say is that I need to reinstall
Thanks
Keith
Hi
I've just upgraded to 1.6.0 and since doing so i've lost all the components on the http://www.bacwak.net:8080/public_view.htm?viewId=8 page. They are on the guest page http://www.bacwak.net:8080/view_edit.shtm?viewId=8 page. (user guest PWD guest)
So what have i done wrong ? :(
Thanks

I think you had better check this with Mango themselves.
There is ony the graphs you see included in the package. You could use another graphing tool to wqcreate the graphs either from the internal dbase. Or when you run a report for a period it produces a CSV file which can be imported into another package (excel etc)

Hi Benjamin
The outside graphics I used was clip art from microsoft into Paint shop pro and saved as a .PNG file. The heating system one I used MS Visio for the pipea and Gimp to create the animated graphics. Took me ages to work out how to do it but saving in lavers created an animated .gif file.
The graphs are created by Mango, you can set them to minutes, hours, days, weeks.
Its the best software i have seen for one-wire plus it also can control other kit at the same time.

Thanks for putting in the rescan feature for one wire, its made a huge difference.

Hi
I've been playing with Dallas one wire sensors etc for sometime as they are reasonably cheap. The end plan is to control the house heating system intelligently. Currently we have a standard two zone system with a boiler.
Sitting in the dining room is a thermal store which should have been installed last year but as it arrived too late, it will have to be done this spring. I also plan to install a woodburner with back boiler and solar panels. Mango is going to have to control the lot in and start to make assumptions, ie from the weather station I have, if its forcast sunny hold back on the boiler and use the solar panel.
So far I've got 20+ sensors working with Mango just monitoring the system (www.bacwak.net:8080) USER guest PWD guest . (Have a look but Please don't fiddle too much) it may be a bit slow I'm using and ADSL line on a Ultra Low power PC (36Watts)and its also a web server, security camera server and an email server.
Thats it for the moment, as i make changes I'll update this
Cheers

Hmmm
There are two applications that I have used before Log Temp by Mr Soft and Lampomittari both of which give data to 2 decimal places.
On the Dallas site the spec sheet for a ds18s20 says accurate to 0.5C' is it something to do with the temperature resolution needing to be configured which the spec sheet also gives, or is that something else completly ?
Keith
Hi
Is it possible to up the data resolution, currently its only measuring to half a degree. Whilst most of the time that fine, it does not work for alarms, half a degree is the difference in temp I need to use to create an alarm for when our stream floods. But what happens now is that due to rounding up or down its constantly going into alarm with a small change say 8.25-8.35.
Can that be done ?
Thanks
Keith
