BACnet connection to multiple remote sites
-
I'm trying to connect my Mango to several remote sites thru BACnet. The remote sites have port forwarding setup on their routers, with static IP addresses.
Thoughts?

Hi Rowan,
The BACnet way to do that is to register each LocalDevice as a foreign device with a BBMD in the network that LocalDevice will participate in.

Hi Phil, I need a little more direction. I assume I'm changing settings in the BAcnet local devices page as attached. Currently i have my Mango and 1 local BACnet device. I have several other remote BACnet devices available with their bbmd addresses. Can you be a bit more specific regarding communication setup?Cheers,
R

You are correct!
Only IP networks use BBMDs
A local device can currently only register as a foreign device with one BBMD. You could try creating more LocalDevices and experimenting with using other port numbers. This has come up a few times fairly recently and we're likely to do some work making it easier in the future.
