BTL Certification

Hi,
We are developing an application based on JAVA to poll and monitor devices using BACNET4J library. Do we have to get certified by BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL)? We searched but couldn't get information for application. Is this certification only Devices?

There is no requirement to get your application certified but in some cases a customer might require a BTL certification.
