Exception from modbus master: Function code: 0x0
-
Hello!
How can i ignore the alarm "Exception from modbus master: Function code: 0x0".
0x0 is sent after all requests to the slave.
I have 10 datapoints logged as"When point value changes" and 30 seconds as update period set in "Data source".
As the ammount of alarms of "0x0" is so often, it makes the alarmstack hard to read and possibly it also slows down processes. Possibly it also makes the databasehandling slower as the amount of data is filled with unnecessary data.
Apart from that problem, everything works flawlessly.

Hi mats,
That's strange! Is it even happening with a single point, or even no points at all?
You can turn the Data Source's events (most likely the "Data source exception", but perhaps "Point read exception" to "Do not log," which will keep it out of the database and out of the lists of alarms (but can still have event handlers).

Hello again!
Thanks for your fast response. I tied your proposal. Success! If all points are set to " Do not log" I still get the "0x0" so I tried set points to log and the Data source to not log anything and the fail disappeared. Now i can see other problems diving up in an reasonable way. I will continue my investigation what are causing the problems. Possibly its due to bad wiring or severe disturbances from source.
Will post later what finding I get.
Thanks again.
