I created new users, but when signed in as them I only get the message “Your account is not configured to access any points, or your system does not have any points.”

I have cleared and re-added the desired permissions to all data points, but no change. Where else should I be looking?

        Hi Aldo,

Have you added the permissions group to the user itself? I think their only default group is 'user'

I don't want all users to have read permissions, so I haven't been focusing on group permissions. Nor do I want them to have admin permissions (superuser). So no, I haven't made any attempt to add the permissions group to the user. BTW, how would I do that? I don't see a way to create a new group, etc.

Great, that was helpful. I had been unaware of group support (other than "user" and "superadmin").

I applied group permissions to the points, and that seemed to accomplish what I needed. However, adding the users individually should have worked.

I don't really know what you are saying. When you add a user you select what groups it belongs to and it gets the permissions of that group. If you don't give any group permissions to your data points then the only users that will see them are super admin. This is the way it's intended to work.

It sounds like you're expecting every user to have their name as a permissions group by default. But, it is easy to add the group to your users such that you can use the username as the permissions group.
