Smart TV's

Has anyone got a idea about which smart TV's would be able to use chrome and view the DGLux dashboards? Not sure how to set this up but want them one the production lines for display info only (no input from user).

You can use a Chromecast with pretty much any TV that has a HDMI input.
You do need another PC to run the DGLux dashboards on though. To run DGLux without a PC you'd need a TV that can run flash player (which is what DGLux runs on) which I don't think really exists.

Jeremyh, You were right on. DGLux 2 needs flash. But after digging around I found that the DGLux 5 is now out and needs no pulg ins at all. I wonder if Mango has plans to upgrade to DGLux 5? Here is the link to the page.

You would have to check with Infinite Automation on that one but it seems like DGLux is being phased out in favour of the new API and custom dashboards module.
It's kind of a shame as DGLux is perfect for throwing together bespoke dashboards very quickly, whereas the API and custom dashboards have a steeper learning and development investment.

I tested both Mango Graphic views today and a pure Mango HTML 5 dashboard and both displayed perfectly on my Samsung Smart TV's built in browser. I also tested a chromecase which is pretty cool but it will only mirror another computer screen.

Jeremyh, I found a Streaming box that claims to have the full chrome browser/with flash and full HTML5 support. I will test it next week and let everyone know how it goes. Here is the link" http://www.vizio.com/costar.html" It's $100 a box but that would work for us. It would let all 30 TV's log in to there own dashboard in mango. It can use wire/wireless connections so it will fit well with Us and Mango.
Joel, It should be here monday the 5 and tested by the 6th. I'll email you the test results. -
Jeremyh, The Co-Star worked very well. It will work with ether wifi or wired connections. It put the Chrome browser on the TV so you can go to any internal address you need or go out to the web. It work well with Dglux 2.5 or the Graphic screens. Easy to set up and use. We will be using them for our system.
Thanks to all for all the help. Larry
