Is there a Hello World example as a quick start for developing modules?
-
Hello,
I want to write a simple module, similar as the graphicalviews, in the recent M2M2 version. I am wondering whether there is any example code to quick start the development? Thank you!
Best wishes,
Pine -
Hi Pine,
We don't have a lot of documentation, the best thing you can do is look at the code for the existing modules. We are currently working on several things that you may be interested in and could help with your development needs. Please contact me so we can discuss a bit further.

I like the idea of writing a simple "Hello World" module that gives a "Hello!" in all (or most) of the places modules are permitted to go. The closest we have is perhaps a little more functionally useful if you know what your application is, as you can adapt some of our existing public-source modules to your purposes. They can be found at our repo: https://github.com/infiniteautomation
Of course, we're still interested in the inspiration exchange that comes from talking to us directly about your applications for Mango and the modules that you've conceived.

Thank you for your reply. The file looks like other information I've already discovered as it includes a screen shot of the 'Discard extreme values' functionality that I want to use. I am not seeing that same screen content so I am no closer to solving my problem.

No idea what you are talking about there?
