Mango M2M on Raspberry Pi
-
Hello,
I am trying to run Mango M2M on Raspberry Pi. I have tried Mango ver. 1.12.4 as well as 1.12.5.
The java has been jdk-7u21-linux-arm-sfp.tar.gz as well as ejre-7u21-fcs-b11-linux-arm-vfp-client_headless-04_apr_2013.tar.gzThe tomcat6 runs fine and I can see the welcome screen.
The Mango also run but after login and after every click it prompts "a server error has occured ...". When I browse Mango at
local host, it prompts "javasript error .. "I am a hardware guy and want to know if it makes a difference if a webapp (Mango M2M in this case) is developed on/for x86 platform?
For me, logically, it does not make difference. Then what problem may have occur, please help?
I have put same question on Raspberry Pi website but received no answer till now. Here is the link:

Hi,
We have successfully gotten Mango Automation running on the Pi. M2M should run, but I'm in sales so don't know exactly how to help on that.
Mango Automation has several speed improvements for embedded processors and it's recommended to use Oracle's version of Java.
Is your application purely hobby? Our free version of Mango Automation may serve your needs. We are discussing having a special, less expensive version of Mango Automation for embedded systems. If this interests you contact me.
Take care,

Hi,
Thanks for reply.
Can you kindly share the email of a technical person who can help me in this case?
I am using Oracle version of java.
What are the limitations of free version of Java Automation, can I add SNMP data sources in it?
What is the license cost of Mango Automation for Embedded Systems? -
I have also tried EJRE1.6.0_25. Still the same problem. I wonder where am I mistaken. :(

Email joel at infiniteautomation dot com with technical questions.
Mango automation has an SNMP data source option, yes. The free version can work with up to 20 points.
Email me to discuss pricing for embedded projects.
Take care,

This forum thread should help: http://forum.infiniteautomation.com/forum/posts/list/1402.page#5862
FYI we have a new google search feature at: http://infiniteautomation.com/index.php/component/googlesearchcse/?view=googleSearch that searches the forum using google. We are also going to add this to the main forum search in the near future.
