Running Mango M2M on industrial PC Advantech ARK-3360F
-
Hi All,
I have already successfully tested Mango on industrial PC Advantech ARK-3360F (O.S. Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS).
This PC comes with 4-port serial RS-232 and 2 RS-485 serial ports.
Mango is possible to see even the 2-port serial RS-485? (currently only see the 4-port RS-232).Thank you very much...

Are you sure the serial ports which don`t show up in mango show up on the operating system? perhaps the driver module is not loaded.
-
Hi craig.
You're right: the system does not see the other ports.
Can you tell me where to look to solve the problem?
Advantech provides no support for Ubuntu. Thanks for help.

Look at dmesg, what type of chip or manufacturer provided the RS485 serial ports for advantech? you will need to load a driver module for the serial ports.
