      Hi,
Creating and editing custom components would greatly enhance and fasten view editing.
A component could be edited the same way a view can be edited, except that point mapping would be with "component virtual points", and when adding the component to a view, these virtual points could be mapped to real points.
Is it implementable? Am I missing something with which it can already be done?
      Thanks,
      Greg

        Hi Greg,

This was in fact considered, but was evaluated to have a complexity level that can only be described as hideous. As i recall, conceptually, it appears hierarchical, but in the browser it would need to be flattened into HTML. This makes for a lot of problems in the view editing pages.

So, yes, it can probably be done, but it would be ugly.

        Best regards,
        Matthew
