Creating and editing custom components would greatly enhance and fasten view editing.<br />
A component could be edited the same way a view can be edited, except that point mapping would be with "component virtual points", and when adding the component to a view, these virtual points could be mapped to real points.<br />
Is it implementable? Am I missing something with which it can already be done?<br />

<p dir="auto">This was in fact considered, but was evaluated to have a complexity level that can only be described as hideous. As i recall, conceptually, it appears hierarchical, but in the browser it would need to be flattened into HTML. This makes for a lot of problems in the view editing pages.</p>
<p dir="auto">So, yes, it can probably be done, but it would be ugly.</p>
