Mango crach after boot up
-
I have installed Mango free 3.7.7 on a Moxa industrial PC. The specs for this Moxa 8112 are Armv7 Cortex-A8 1 GHz cpu and 512 MB DDR3. Its not super fast but Mango does start up and I can login. As soon as I start using the menu Mango locks up and crashes.
Will Mango run ok on the small industrial PC?
How can get some logs out to find out why mango crashes? This was the start of the log from the terminal
Nov 03 17:16:54 Moxa systemd[1]: Started Mango Automation.

your pc only has 512mb ram. Have you checked the free ram once after Mango has started? I can't imagine there will be much free ram left after the OS and Mango have been loaded.
The MangoGT hardware spec has at least 1GB Ram.
Just a thought. -
I am also running mango on the Odroid XU4. This has to 2Gb ram. It also is falling over and restarting, just not as often. The log in the UI just says system restarted.

Hi Swino
The Mango ES used the OdroidXU4 which has an 8 core CPU and 2 gigs of ram, which is actually a lot of power for an SBC, you shouldn't have any issue with the Odroid as long as you can keep it cool, all that power produces a lot of heat.
As for the smaller unit, you are running, I suggest you edit your /opt/mango/overrides/start-options.sh file and give the JVM about 40% of your RAM and see if it runs. I honestly don't think you are going to get very far with such a small amount of ram.
What are you looking to do with it?, I honestly don't think you will get very far with that CPU and ram.
Out MangoGT runs the Arm A-53 1.2Ghz with 1gig ram. -
Hi Craig, I had no real plans for the smaller unit. I will stick to the Odroid spec and higher. The UX4 flows along very nicely. The only behaviour I am trying to understand is that the mango server seems to restart its self every so often. I left it running over night and screen shot this from the events. Any ideas on the system shutdown system start up messages?

Hi Swino
You are running in free mode so you will be limited to 300 data points and it will restart every 8 hours I think. You can put in a trail request by registering the GUID, I will grant you a 1-month trail.
