I'm engineering undergraduate. I'm doing project as design and implementation of web browser based SCADA system for sluice gate. I have used mango automation software for my project.I have done following things so far

      1. I have established communication between PLC and mango automation software (I can read and write memory coil of PLC using mango software. but still couldn't read analog signals )
      2. I have created graphical interface using graphical view module
3 I can read and write memory coils of PLC using graphical interface at the moment.
so now i want to access my graphical interface from another computer web browser via internet. I tried this with my Ipv4 address and port 8082(mango software port). but I couldn't access. how to do that ?is there any special module ? or I want to connect mango server or any other method?

Mango runs on port 8080 by default. Did you change it to 8082? If you can't access it at <ip-address>:port then you probably have a firewall blocking the port.

@JoelHaggar yes i changed port to 8082. I use dongle to connect to internet . therefore i didn't have static ip . is it problem? because i have free version of mango. i think it will support only for 3 ip addresses. or is i need to do port forwarding ?

I don't really understand your question. You only need port forwarding if your Mango is behind a router and you want to access it externally. If you are trying to access Mango on your local network then just put in your local IP address.

Ok, that's a networking issue which is outside the support we can provide here. To access Mango via the internet you'll need to configure your router. This will depend on what type of internet connection you have and what type of router you have.

If the machine you are hosting Mango on does not have a FIXED IP you need to look at using DYNDNS or something similar and you need to have either the router detect the IP has changed and update the DYNDNS entry or have some software running on the server looking for the changes. Normally most modern routers have this capability built in.

You need to setup PORT FORWARDING on your router to allow an external connection to work. Note that some ISP's block certain IP's so you may have to play around to find one that is open. 8080+ should be good in most cases.

Your issue with the free version will be if you connect from a mobile device as they will give you a different IP each time so you will run out of IP's very quickly. The server being DYNAMIC won't be affected by this as it is the IP address of the devices connecting to the web interface that will have this issue.

You can't host it on a website. They only allow HTML, PHP etc.

You can use something like a GoDaddy Virtual Server and we do that and it works but if you do, I suggest you get the 4GB memory option as the cheapest at 1GB will give you lots of out of memory errors depending on how complex your setup is. Best to be safe.

You can use any text editor that allows an FTP connection to allow you to edit the HTML for the dashboards etc.

To upload and download files is simple a matter of using an FTP programme.
