      Hi,

i want to use mango and 1 wire devices.
i build the serial adapter circuit myself and its working fine with logtemp

when i do a scan network in mango, mango is saying:
"Port found "COM2" but Adapter "DS9097U" not detected"

De DS9097U is the official 1wire -> comport adapter.

is there a way to get it working with a homebrew adapter ?
the schemetic to that adapter is found here :

This is also on my wishlist but it doesn't look like there is a easy solution to your problem yet.

The solution could be to buy a "official" adapter.

Its to bad, that i have to buy something that easy could be build as a homebrew project.

I read the soultion with the external sql database.
ill think my nagasaki ms2100 running xplite wil not survive that.
          its also logging the solarpanels.

to have an extra pc running for the sgl database, will consume extra solarwatts........

          the ms2100 uses only 9watt.

ill hope there will be a solution.

                Hi

From experience the best connector is the link45 as it can manage difficult cable configurations (See http://www.maxim-ic.com/app-notes/index.mvp/id/148).

I started with a USB one and it constantly gave trouble. I have found one wire networks to be a law unto themselves, working fine for a week then losing sensors for days without a change being made.

                or

Hobbyboards http://www.hobby-boards.com/catalog/index.php who are quick and helpful witth all their bits

                Cheers
