SMA Cluster Controller
-
I am trying to communicate via the SMA cluster controller to additional inverters in the network.
I can communicate with the cluster controller directly no problem.
My issue is with ascertaining the unit ID's of the other inverters. I am unsure if this a Mango query or a query for SMA.
I have strangely enough found one of the inverters @ slave ID 255. I thought the range was 0-240!!Are there any trick to polling the slaves to find them?
Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hello,
This is a SMA query, but I will save you some time.
The basic steps are that you must go into the Cluster Controller > 'Update and Save' page > Modbus > 'Save automatically generated plant configuration'. This will download a XML file which you can open in a text editor and set the modbus address of each inverter. Then upload it via the 'Update user-defined plant configuration (*.xml)' button.
You can find all this information in the SMA Cluster Controller user manual, but it is quite poorly explained. It took me a little while to work out too.
Cheers
