    What's leading to these frequent rtn errors?

        At least in regards to the timeouts if they're frequent, I would

        1. investigate the wiring.
        2. turn the max read registers down a little, maybe <100 (do a little experimenting)
        3. Increase the polling interval.

        For those socket errors, are your data sources configured to use particular COM ports? The -1 makes me wonder.

          it seems like the your modbus slave's problem,if you use the modscan32 to test the datasource 'stability use the same configuration on mango.
