Custom dashboards don't work after upgrade to 3.2.1
-
Hi, I am familiar with 1.12.5 M2M, and want to move over to MA, due to a couple of possible commercial opportunities. Custom dashboards will be required in both projects.
After a clean install of MA 2.7.10 custom dashboards was working. After upgrading (all modules up to date 18th September), when selecting custom dashboards, a new tab opens as usual, at the address http://localhost:8080/dashboards/, but my browser displays nothing. W7 and W8.1 PC's do the same.
Any help appreciated.
Hayden
Any ideas appreciated please

Try clearing your browsers cache.

Already had done that, but did it again. Also tried IE and Chrome, and logging in from another PC on the LAN. No go...

Is the URL correct? On my system the dashboard appears at:
/modules/dashboards/web/yourname/

Thanks for pointing me in that direction Dave.
The Custom dashboards icon on the Main Mango page is incorrectly pointing to the URL http://localhost/dashboards/
It should point to http://localhost/dashboards/home, as default.
As far as your URL goes, well it depends on how you set it up after creating your dashboards.
Thanks mate.

Correction, just a typo in my last post, left out the port 8080 in both the addresses above, but was not the issue,
just a typo in the post! -
@HWilson said in Custom dashboards don't work after upgrade to 3.2.1:

It actually points to /dashboards/ by default but you can change this in system settings.
When you go to /dashboards/ you will get redirected to one of two places, the users home URL if it exists, or the URL specified at the top of the "Edit menu" page - /dashboards/settings/edit-menu (which defaults to /home, i.e. /dashboards/home)
So check 3 things if you want to get directed to /dashboards/home
- Icon link destination under "Dashboard settings" in System Settings is set to "/dashboards/"
- The user has no home URL set on the users page
- The default URL on the "Edit menu" page is set to "/home"

@HWilson
We found a bug in the 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 code which affects new installs. I will get a bug fix release out today, look for v3.2.2.
