Noting how I cannot feasibly create bulk alarms for points without generating some sort of script and applying it 'en masse', If something was wrong i'd have a whole bunch of points going off for the wrong parameters.
To make it easier, could we not apply datapoint level alarms at the template and datasource configurations?
Means then I can have 1000 datapoints using the same template (for example) and firing an alarm if they breach a value, or don't update after a given amount of time etc etc...

I feel it could go datasource alarm < template alarm < datapoint alarm as far as hierarchy goes.

I don't know how much more work it would be for you folks but it would greatly simplify alarm and event control for multiple points IMO at least.

Do not follow where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path.
