Alarms for Datasource wide/template wide to apply to datapoints

  • Noting how I cannot feasibly create bulk alarms for points without generating some sort of script and applying it 'en masse', If something was wrong i'd have a whole bunch of points going off for the wrong parameters.
To make it easier, could we not apply datapoint level alarms at the template and datasource configurations?
Means then I can have 1000 datapoints using the same template (for example) and firing an alarm if they breach a value, or don't update after a given amount of time etc etc...

I feel it could go datasource alarm < template alarm < datapoint alarm as far as hierarchy goes.

I don't know how much more work it would be for you folks but it would greatly simplify alarm and event control for multiple points IMO at least.
