      Jared, I have made an ng-init to be able to quickly make a reference to a drop down list that is connected to a filter query. The problem is that how I have it written, it displays the data, but it doesn't show the Name inside the dropdown list. What have I screwed up?

      ng-init="

              meter1Name= '032 GAS West';
              meter2Name= '';
              meter3Name= '';
              meter4Name= '';
              meter5Name= '';

      ">

      <md-input-container flex="33" layout-align="start start" >
      <md-select ng-model="deviceName" ng-init="deviceName={{meter1Name}}" style="font-size: 20px; font-family: serif; color:#ffffff;">
      <md-option ng-value="{{meter1Name}}" style="font-size: 20px; font-family: serif; color:#ffffff;">{{meter1Name}}</md-option>

                          </md-select>
                          </md-input-container>
