I've just downloaded Modbus4J and, as a Java developer in the BMS sector, I want to give it a quick trial before I make too many commitments. I've successfully imported all the source code into a new IntelliJ project, but I can't see much (if anything) in the way of instructions to test the software, i.e. a configuratiom to help me run a master which connects to a given Modbus slave device with a particular IP address or 485 serial port, and so on.

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick, but could someone just point me in the right direction here ?

Thanks
